Sabian Crescent Elements Cymbals feature raw, unlathed bells - called distressed patina - and are similar to Turkish models. The 16" Crash responds with a surprisingly thick amount of high overtones, fading away with a long decay.
The bell produces a round ping that blends inside the rest of the cymbal's sound for a subtle effect. Contrary to intuition, this cymbal is actually lower in pitch than the 18" model.
